The Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. It began as the brainchild of a British lord who wanted to host a hill climb on his estate. It has become one of the world's premier automotive events, with everything from vintage F1 cars to nouveau electric concepts making their way up the hill.
Goodwood is prime time for British and sports car manufacturers to debut new models. Here are seven of our favorites that appeared at the event this year.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N
Hyundai
Hyundai debuted the long-awaited hot version of the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 5 N. Its dual-motor AWD powertrain puts out up to 641 horsepower with the N Grin Boost engaged. And Hyundai will try to ramp up driving engagement with drag, drift and track modes, artificial noise and a simulated 8-seed dual-clutch transmission.
Aston Martin debuted its new "old-school brute," the Valour. It's limited to 110 units. It pairs a 705-horsepower 5.2-liter V12 engine with a 6-speed manual transmission. And like the new DB12, it will have automotive enthusiasts clamoring for more from Aston Martin.
Porsche unveiled the electric 357 Speedster concept. The design is a nod to Porsche's first car, the iconic 356. The chassis is from the Porsche 718 GT4 Clubsport. The batteries and electric motors are from Porsche's Mission R concept.
Ford hasn't confirmed a Mustang Raptor yet. But the brand did unveil a powerful, off-road rally-style Mustang Mach E Rally. And it's not just a one-off. Ford plans to sell them in America and Europe and will start taking orders this fall.
Ineos launched a new double-cab pickup version of its Grenadier SUV, the Grenadier Quartermaster. Like the standard Grenadier, the Quartermaster packs a BMW inline-six, old-school solid axles and locking differentials. U.K. orders will begin in July. It's not clear if it's coming to the U.S. yet.
McLaren unveiled its wild new limited-run hypercar, the Solus GT. It's a track-only single-seater that packs an 830 horsepower, naturally aspirated V10 engine. It weighs less than 2,204 pounds. McLaren is making just 25 of them. And if you're interested in buying one, you're already SOL.
Caterham revealed an electric sports coupe, the Project V. It's a three-seater, packs 268 horsepower and weighs just 2,623 pounds. Caterham is targeting a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.5 seconds and about 255 miles of EV range.
